If you keep a mild and steady level of effort and attention, the weight of changes you must stay on top of in each moment is smaller than if you come back and review in bulk segments.

But it might not be better as a result. When you're constantly on top of what's going on, you're also staying attentive to information with a very short shelf life. Problems that come up only to be externally resolved relatively quickly are wasteful for attention and energy.
